Book Releases October 2015
I would like to show these books to you. They are coming out over the next month, October 2015. I have not read any of these books yet, but I am looking forward to these to review.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell (October 6)
Synopsis
Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen.
That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.
Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here—it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up.
Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, and a mystery. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.
I really enjoyed Fangirl, the book of which Carry On is a spin-off. So I am curious what Rainbow Rowell has made of this tale. It is also the authors first fantasy book, so we will see if a promising author in contemporary can also write for fantasy.
A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston (October 6)
Synopsis

Who does not want to read about Arabian Nights? I don’t know, but I am curious about this book. Already the first sentence of the synopsis pulls me in. Fantasy, Arabian Nights, what would I like more?
The Rose Society (The Young Elites #2) by Marie Lu (October 13)
Synopsis
Once upon a time, a girl had a father, a prince, a society of friends. Then they betrayed her, and she destroyed them all.
Adelina Amouteru’s heart has suffered at the hands of both family and friends, turning her down the bitter path of revenge. Now known and feared as the White Wolf, she and her sister flee Kenettra to find other Young Elites in the hopes of building her own army of allies. Her goal: to strike down the Inquisition Axis, the white-cloaked soldiers that murdered her love, the Crown Prince Enzo Valenciano.

I have not started on The Young Elites yet, but I have read the Legend trilogy. Which amazed me and read through in a very fast pace. I am hoping The Young Elites read in the same way, with the same humor and great characters.
The Immortal Heights (The Elemental Trilogy #3) by Sherry Thomas (October 13)
Synopsis

Iolanthe and Titus will put their love and their lives on the line. But will it be enough?
I have never read anything by Sherry Thomas. But what I have read from the excerpts and the synopsis I think she writes well. The excerpts are pretty fast pasted and they made me curious. This is most definitly one of the series I will put on my list to read in the next coming months.
Illuminae (The Illuminae Files #1) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff (Ocotober 20)
Synopsis
This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do.

This again is a book by an author I have not ever read a book from. Amie Kaufman wrote also The Starbound Trilogy, which I heard a lot of good things about and were also on my list to read. So when her name came up on my search for new books I was immediately interested. Jay Kristoff is also an author I have never read anything from. Though his works now are also on my list for at least one review. I like steam punk stories, so maybe I like these too.
