Recap April 2019

In Recap I will tell you guys what I read this month and how far I am with my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

Where last month I wasn’t happy I had to stop a book because of the audiobook being broken and a book I started never finishing, this month has been a doozy and I am hoping to get back into reading again. I know it is all perfectly normal what I am feeling and doing right now, I would like my life to go back to something normal again, which it isn’t at all right now.

A quick update on why the secrecy, I have given birth to a healthy baby girl this month and are now what a lot of new reading moms call a postnatal reading slump. It is supposed to pass and I kept it in mind when I made my reading goal for this year, but I hadn’t expected it to be this bad.

Read

Basically, I have no bloody idea how many books/stories I have read because I have listened to almost all of the Brothers Grimm fairytales on audiobook during my nightly hours awake with my newborn. But due to baby brain, I forgot to write down which stories and now I can’t really be bothered to go and look it up. I might once I have more control over my life again.

All the other books I read this month were: A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro, The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston, The Devouring Gray by Christine Lynn Herman, Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi, Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody & Joanne Rendell, The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare & Wesley Chu, Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds and Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion.
