On My Shelf #43

On My Shelf is an original feature inspired by the On My Shelf tag. Each time I will take 5 random books from my shelves and tell you about them (how I got them, what I think of them etc.), and if they are in Dutch I will write a small synopsis of them.
I will roll some dice to find out which books it will be.

The Reckoning (Darkest Power #3) by Kelley Armstrong

I bought The Reckoning when I bought the other two books in the series. I enjoyed this series a lot, the characters are interesting and you never know what the main character sees is real.

Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo

I bought Ruin and Rising because I heard loads of great things about the series and found the series in hardcover for a nice price. Right now I am reading it and so far I like it. It is different from the other two parts, but that is nice. Reviews will be up soon, so you will be able to read my thoughts on it.

The Coven (Sweep/Wicca #2) by Cate Tiernan

As soon as I was done with Book of Shadows, part one of this series I went to the store and bought The Coven, I just loved the series and needed more. I still read this series yearly, but I feel I have grown out of the series a bit.

Saga Vol. 1 by Brain K. Vaughan

When I was searching for comic I might be interested in, I heard about Saga. When I read the synopsis it really made me curious. After reading the this one I needed more. I immediately ordered the next one and so on until I had caught up with it. The characters are super interesting and give a damn about what is normal. I think their way of giving about other peoples opinion is great.

Shadow of the Queen (Once Upon a Time #2) by Daniel T. Thompson

I have always loved the tv series Once Upon a Time and liked the idea of a comic with these characters. I loved the different styles that are used through out the comic and the stories fit in with the universe.

For now, let books enrich your life!
