Today I will do the Christmast Song Book Tag, for which I got tagged by Taylor of Taylor is Reading. The version of the tag that I am using is by Verity of A Great Adventure.
Here we go!
“You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch”: Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love.
This is such a hard one, I have a couple of villains I really liked as a character. I think I will pick Eli from Vicious by V.E. Schwab. He was a great villain.
“All I Want for Christmas is You”: Which book do you most hope to see under your Christmas tree?
NONE! What did I just say? I hope to get no books for Christmas this year? Yes, that is true. Well of course I will be happy with any book under the treat, but I am asking for other things this year and for once I am not gonna bother figuring out which ones I really want and then make my family choose between giving the same old books or tools.
“Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”: Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.
I really can’t choose. This is one of those tropes that happen in most YA novels. I wouldn’t know what to pick here.
“Santa Claus is Coming to Town”: a) Which character do you think would be on the top of the naughty list?
b) Which character do you think would be at the top of the nice list?
On the top of the naughty list would be Sherlock Holmes from A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, he is such a dick, and on the top of the nice list would be Wonder Woman from Woman Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo. She does everything she can to be the best, whatever way that takes her.
“Frosty the Snowman”: Which book just melts your heart.
I melted while I read Aristotle and Dante and The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. They were such cute reads and I loved them.
“Feliz Navidad”: Choose a book that takes place in a country other than your own.
There are so many books that take place in other countries than my own! Almost no English books have anything to do with The Netherlands. I only know of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, so I can’t pick that, but basically I can pick anything. I loved Rebel in the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton so I guess that will be my pick.
“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”: Which holiday themed book do you use to spread the Christmas joy?
I don’t really read specially themed books. But I guess the closed thing could be Let It Snow by John Green and others.
“Sleigh Ride”: Which fictional character would you choose to spend the holidays with (doesn’t have to be a love interest!)
I would pick Hermione Granger from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling to just spend the holidays reading, which is what I am going to do anyway.
“Baby it’s Cold Outside”: Which book that you didn’t like would you sacrifice to a fire to warm yourself up in the cold?
Undercover Princess by Connie Glynn! Oh but I brought it back to the store. Then I would pick Life & Death by Stephenie Meyer and the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
“Do you hear what I hear”: Which book do you think everyone should read?
Everybody has to read His Fair Assasssin by Robin LaFevers! Yes I am still into these novels. They are great. Or anything by Benjamin Alire Sáenz or The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
I hope you liked this book tag. If you have anymore prompts I a can answer to then please let me know in the comments down below.
