The Ice Lolly Book Tag
I found this very summery book tag on Kelley’s Ramblings and thought it is super! It was made by Louise, Amy and Charlotte.
The rules are simple: if you’re tagged you need to answer the questions and tag four of your bookish pals, as well as crediting the tag’s creators. Enjoy!
Mini Milk: Short and Sweet?
I enjoyed I, Robot by Isaac Asimov a lot and it is only a couple hundred pages. The short stories in here are very cute and the edditing of this novel make it feel like a complete novel.
Magnum: Best Classic?
Is Harry Potter a classic yet?
Cornetto: Book With A Surprise Ending?
Even though Delirium is not an extremely strong novel, I did like the surprise ending of it.
Rocket Ice Lolly: A Book Which Looks More Exciting On The Outside?
Then we get to this monstrosity of a series. I hate it! The House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast.
Ben & Jerry’s: Most Versatile Author?
Maybe Isaac Asimov is in my eyes the most versatile author. It is not that I like all this work, but I think I like his Robot novels, but I hated Foundation for example. It was just such a completely different read.
Fab: Weak Ending?
I felt Deception Point has a weak ending. Everything goes out with a sizzle instead of a bang. I did not like that.
Rainbow Lollies: Favourite LGBTQA+ Fiction?
I love Aristotle and Dante! It is so well written and I think a good introduction to romance novels and LGBT fiction.
Nobbly Bobbly: Gritty Subject, Sweet Message
Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur is awesome. I really liked it even though they were sometimes really sad and such, but they are also really sweet.
Boss Strawberry Double: International Author?
Leigh Bardugo is such a great author! And she is not from America or in my case The Netherlands.
Magnum Ice Cream Tubs: Weird but Good?
I still haven’t read anything more than just Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, but I really liked this novel.
Crunchie Blast: Great Spin-Off/Retelling
I enjoyed The Lunar Chronicles a lot until the last novel, Winter. I really did not like it that much. But overall it is a super series.
Solero: Light and Fluffy?
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is such fun, but also a very sad sometimes. But I really liked it.
Choc-Ice: Book You Don’t Want To Admit You Love?
Yes, I still really like Twilight. I have found new things I like about it and changed my mind about others, but I do not care what other people think of me liking Twilight!
Fruit Lolly: Left On The Shelf?
So yeah, I still haven’t read A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab. I was looking forward to this when it came out, because I had been hoping this at least would be a satisfying ending to the series. But I just can’t get myself to pick it up. Maybe if I start having more baths after summer again, since I read the others in the bath too.
Mint Choc Chip: Love It or Hate It?
The Selection series is one of those series, at least to me, that I love and hate at the same time. I hate picking it up, but when I do, I tear through them like a crazy person.
I tag Mel from The Daily Prophecy, Veronique from Bookish Lifestyle, the guys from The Broke and the Bookish and Katie from A Menagerie of Thoughts.
For now, let books enrich your life!
Hello! I just stumbled upon this, and thank you so much for doing our tag! I definetely think of Harry Potter as a modern classic ?
