On My Shelf is an original feature inspired by the On My Shelf tag. Each time I will take 5 random books from my shelves and tell you about them (how I got them, what I think of them etc.), and if they are in Dutch I will write a small synopsis of them.
I will roll some dice to find out which books it will be.
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
I got this almost two months ago on a shopping spree with my best friend. I am looking forward to reading it, just did not have the time yet with NaNo starting two days later and I am still in in reading slum since. But I have heard so much good things about this book I really want to read it.
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
I bought this book secondhand the same day as Everything Everything. I have read it once with a friend and liked it back then. I do hope I will like it these days.
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
I love this book! You can read my review here. I bought it on that (the above described) shopping spree. It is so well written and I wish it was something everyone had to read.
The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling #1) by Erika Johansen
Another book from the same spree. I am so curious to read this one! And the cover is beautiful too.
The Power of Five (W.I.T.C.H. Chapter Books #1) by Elizabeth Lenhard
I bought this when I found this magazine after it had already started being published in The Netherlands. I enjoy reading this story every couple of years. It feels sometimes a bit childish, which it probably is, but I like them memories I have from them.
I want to wish everyone a happy Christmas and a great weekend!
For now, let books enrich your life!
