On My Shelf is an original feature inspired by the On My Shelf tag. Each time I will take 5 random books from my shelves and tell you about them (how I got them, what I think of them etc.), and if they are in Dutch I will write a small synopsis of them.
I took a look at my big pile of comics for what I got recently.
Dark X-men by Paul Cornell
I bought the Dark X-men comic by Paul Cornell last summer in Ireland. It intrigued me because the back said “The X-Men are dead”. I needed to have it. I liked the comic and might do a review on it when I get to reading it again.
Out of the Past (Once Upon a Time #3) by Kalinda Vázquez
When I finished with Shadow of the Queen by Daniel T. Thomsen I needed to get Out of the Past. It again were great short stories with different artistic styles. The individual stories give great info on some of the minor characters in the Once Upon a Time tv series.
Charmed Season 9, Volume 1 by Paul Ruditis
When I heard Charmed was changed into a comic I just wanted them because I loved the tv series years ago. Today I actually saw they are planning a reboot of the series. As soon as this comic slit through my mail slot, I started reading it and liked it about as much as the earlier seasons of the tv series.
Commericial Suicide (The Wicked + The Divine #3) by Kieron Gillen
I needed Commercial Suicide as soon as it got released. I loved the earlier publications in The Wicked + The Divine. And as soon as I was done with it I needed the next bind up in the series. I loved it that much!
Saga Vol 2 by Brian K. Vaughan
As soon as I finished with Vol 1, so Iwent to my local comicbook store and bought the next three volumes. I like them a lot and I am waiting on the 7th volume of Saga. If you like science-fiction this a comic I would sugest to start out with.
For now, let books enrich your life!
