It is time Love-A-Thon again! This is a time dedicated to visiting other bloggers/Instagrammers/BookTubers, leaving a comment or two, making new friends and fostering positivity among the members of our amazing community.
Loved participating in it last year and was very happy when Kristin and Mel announced they were going to organise it again.
Right this moment Love-A-Thon 2017 has started and as my first post I am going to answer some questions.
An Introduction to You and Your Blog
What’s your name? Where in the world are you blogging from?
My name is Iris and I live in The Netherlands
Tell us your history with reading. Were you always a reader? Were you a reluctant
reader? Was there a book that convinced you to become a reader?
I started reading around the age of 5. In school we were forced to read in groups at which I sucked, but there was this guys that read with me in private to help me get over those problems. He showed me how much I loved reading, because even though my grade in school for reading showed I should not read hard books, I could read them without any problems. And my love for Paul van Loon books made me keep reading and the guy in school helped me get to a respectable grade for reading, not the best one though
How did you get involved in the online book community?
I liked watching book reviews on YT and from there followed blogs and now I have my own
How did you choose your primary platform (blog, Instagram, YouTube, etc)? How
did you come up with your blog name?
My boyfriend and I came up with it together, because I really like analysing the characters in stories
What’s your favorite thing about the online book community?
I always love chatting about book, so I like the communication between everyone. But also getting other peoples advice on what I should read next
What sort of posts can readers expect from you?
Once a week I have a review, a What’s On My Shelf post and if I find the subject interesting I try and do a Top Ten Tuesday post. And sometimes I do book tags or participate in blogtours
What book genres do you talk about most?
Right now I read a lot of Fantasy, Dystopian and Science-Fiction. I am trying to change that and it is going to work! But I also have Contemporary, Romance etc.
Favorites
Favorite food? Beverage?
I love pizza, pastas, cola and lemonwater
Favorite color?
My favorite color is green

I like to write in my spare time or just watch a movie
Favorite tv shows?
So many tv shows! Criminal Minds, Code Black, Arrow, The Flash, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Scorpion and others

I enjoy watching the Lord of the Rings movies, they are so beautiful. Also The Hobbit movies
Favorite musical artists?
I listen a lot to Nightwish, Epica, Fall Out Boy and Walk Off the Earth

Underrated book, series or author you love?

A book you want to see made into a film or tv show?
His Fair Assassin series into a tv show, movies would not do these books justice
Book boyfriend/girlfriend? Book BFF? Book family?
I don’t have book bf/gf or something like it. I only have my RL best friend who also loves books
Books you want to read in 2017?
The Raven Boys Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, A Prescence of Absence by Sarah Surgey and Emma Vestrheim and loads of others
Have a great weekend and if you are participating in the Love-A-Thon let me know and I will drop by.
For now, let books enrich your life!
So glad you’re joining us for the Love-a-Thon! And I definitely agree about the LOTR films and The Hobbit movies. They’re so visually stunning, and I absolutely enjoy them.
So happy for meeting you during the Twitter chat! 🙂
