On My Shelf #23

On My Shelf is an original feature inspired by the On My Shelf tag. Each time I will take 5 random books from my shelves and tell you about them (how I got them, what I think of them etc.), and if they are in Dutch I will write a small synopsis of them.
I will roll some dice to find out which books it will be.

Eldest (The Inheritance Cycle #2) by Christopher Paolini

I got the second book in the then-still-called Inheritance Trilogy because I liked the first book Eragon a lot. I liked it a lot, even though it is quite childishly written.

Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands #1) by Alwyn Hamilton

I have not gotten time to read this. I bought it fairly recently and am still waiting on the moment I have time to read it.

Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

I liked the series a lot, so I bought the third book in the series. I had already heard the biggest spoiler for this book. I did not mind and liked reading it, but the quality slowly went down during book. I am going to read this book soon again. Maybe I changed my mind by now.

Eric (Discworld #9) by Terry Pratchett

I got this book, because a friend thought it was Faust (which I was reading in that time). I liked it. It was my first Discworld novel and since then I have bought more.

Harry Potter Collection by J.K. Rowling

I got the Harry Potter Collection from a friend as a housewarming gift when I recently moved. It contains all seven books in hardcovers. I already had the full collection of paperbacks in Dutch and some paperbacks in English, but they are all so damaged I do not think they will last too long if I keep reading them every (other) year.

For now, let books enrich your life!
