On My Shelf #45

On My Shelf is an original feature inspired by the On My Shelf tag. Each time I will take 5 random books from my shelves and tell you about them (how I got them, what I think of them etc.), and if they are in Dutch I will write a small synopsis of them.
I will roll some dice to find out which books it will be.

Charmed Again (Charmed #11) by Constance M. Burge

This was the first Charmed novel I ever bought. Here in The Netherlands they started with this one, because by the time it released Prue was dead and gone from the tv series. I liked it, but I decided to sell it, so I have it on sale right now on a Dutch website.

Marked (House of Night #1) by P.C. & Kristin Cast

I bought this in a special edition because it was beautiful. First time I read it was in Greece. I liked it in that moment. But I read it last at the end of 2014, but by the time I was finished with all the books I hated it. It was dragging on so long!

Hogfather (Discworld #20) by Terry Pratchett

I got Hogfather from a friend of mind a few days after we watched the movie Hogfather. She said it was her favorite and she wanted me to have it. I enjoyed it a lot, I think I love the books in th Death series by Terry Pratchett.

Siege and Storm (The Grisha #2) by Leigh Bardugo

I got Siege and Storm at the same time as the other parts in the trilogy. I read it over Christmas and I enjoyed it a lot. But it did feel a lot like Shadow and Stone, it did not make the story bad or anything. But it felt a bit sad. I enjoyed Ruin and Rising much more.

Physik (Septimus Heap #3) by Angie Sage

After I finished Flyte, I bought myself Physik because I enjoyed the previous book so much. But I felt Physik was lacking a bit. It is not as strong as Magyk and made me wonder whether Angie Sage was going to write 7 books about Septimus. Before reading I thought I wouldn’t mind, but with books like this, I wouldn’t want to read them all.

For now, let books enrich your life!
