On My Shelf is an original feature inspired by the On My Shelf tag. Each time I will take 5 random books from my shelves and tell you about them (how I got them, what I think of them etc.), and if they are in Dutch I will write a small synopsis of them.
I will roll some dice to find out which books it will be.
Night’s Child (Wicca/Sweep #15) by Cate Tiernan
As I said a couple of weeks ago, I loved this series and needed to get every book in it. So I bought Night’s Child. I did not like this book as much as the others, but it was okay.
Flyte (Septimus Heap #2) by Angie Sage
After reading the fun first novel Magyk, I bought Flyte (these books have great names, I like them). This one was even funnier then Magyk. I had a lot of fun reading this one.
Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) by Sarah J. Maas
After reading the first four novels in the Throne of Glass series, I had to binge buy the series. I enjoyed this book a lot, most of the series even.
Thing Explainer by Randall Munroe
I got this when my friend brought it to my attention when he was reading an XKCD comic. I had to pre-order and waited in anticipation of a great read. Thing Explainer is funny and great. But also easily understandable for people who do not have a big vocabulary.
Harry Potter Library by J.K. Rowling
I got the Harry Potter Library to complete my Harry Potter series and in anticipation of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie. I had read them, years before, when they first came out. But the Library contains all three books in beautiful matching covers and look way nicer then the old ‘school’ look.
For now, let books enrich your life!
