Recap: January 2016

Recap January 2016

In this new year I would like to keep you guys more up-to-date on what I have been doing. That is why I have made this new catagory: Recap.

In Recap I will tell you guys what I read this month, what books I bought this month and how far I am with my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

Read

I started the year out well, I finished listening to Lenobia’s Vow by P.C. & Kristin Cast and read the ebook of Redeemed by the same authors. This way I could finish my review on the series, which had been halve done for a very long time now. I also read Thing Explainer by Randall Munroe. Then I read and watched Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.

To not get too far behind on my rereads I started on the Lunar Chronciles by Marissa Meyer. For each book I wrote a review, some a bit shorter then normally but I don’t mind, I also don’t want to spoil anything. Winter was not a reread but it belongs with the whole series.

While I was still reading Winter, I started on the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. I will try to do a review of the whole series when I am done. I read Book of Shadows in three evenings but then got distracted, so when I finished Winter I started on Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers from the His Fair Assassin series. Then I started on the second book in the series, Dark Truimph and finished it with only 1h45m until midnight on the 31st of January.

Bought

I failed at my new years resolutions. I have already bought books! Oh god, forgive me! Kidding, but yes, I bought three books this month and got one as a present.

For myself I bought Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs, Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi and Ignite me by Tahereh Mafi. Just to finish those two series off basicly.
And as a late Birthday/Christmas present I got a signed edition of The Toystore at the End of the World by Rober Brown, for my birthday in December I already got Retrograde from the same series, so now that series is also complete. – Happy! –

Goodread Reading Challenge

I started off great, 3 books in just one day, even though 2 of them were just finishing up. And from that moment I spend about 2 days per book, the longest one taking me only 6 days to read.
In total I read 7 rereads and 5 books from my TBR.
